Procurement Information

These are the details distributors, dealers and project buyers ask us for before placing a first order. Anything not listed here is sent with the quotation or on request — tell your export contact what you need and you will have it.

Order at a glance

ItemWhat you get
Minimum orderCatalogue sizes can usually be mixed across one container. Bespoke sizes and custom finishes carry a higher minimum, confirmed for your selection in the quotation.
Trial ordersAccepted for catalogue sizes, so you can test the product in your market before committing to a full programme.
SamplesA physical sample or a section mock-up, credited against a subsequent bulk order. Sample cost and lead time are quoted separately.
Production lead timeThree to four weeks for standard items after drawing approval and deposit. Motorised and custom-engineered orders take longer and are stated in the quotation.
Payment termsA deposit with the order, the balance against the copy bill of lading or on presentation of shipping documents. The split and the accepted methods are stated in the quotation and the order confirmation.
Shipping termsFOB, CIF or DDP from our loading port in Chengdu or Chongqing. As both are inland, the routing to your destination and the transit time it implies are confirmed in the quotation and shown on the bill of lading.
PackingMulti-layer export packing: frames separated and stacked flat, aluminium surfaces never in contact, corners protected, hardware bagged, and the paperwork shipped with the goods rather than floating separately.
Container loadingA loading plan is issued for every shipment so the container is filled efficiently. Loading photographs are sent to you before the container is sealed.
DocumentsCommercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, material test certificates and CE / RoHS documentation are issued per order and travel with the shipment file.
Third-party inspectionSGS, BV or TÜV are welcome at any stage of production, including before the container is loaded.
Engineering supportStructural calculations, wind and snow load data, anchor layouts, 3D renders and shop drawings for project orders, so your consultant and installer can sign off in one pass.
InstallationDrawings, installation instructions, section profiles and hardware are supplied with the goods. Remote technical guidance is available during installation.
Spare partsMotors, remote controls, louvre mechanisms, glazing and fixings are kept for every product line we manufacture, including older models.
WarrantyTwenty years on aluminium structures. The electrical system (motor, remote control and sensors) is warranted separately, and the term is agreed for each order. What is covered and what is excluded is set out in full on the warranty page.
DocumentationEnglish assembly instructions and installation videos for every product line, reissued at any time for any product we have supplied.
Response timesEnquiries are answered in English within one working day. Warranty claims receive a technical response within three working days.

Quality control in three stages

Every order passes three recorded stages. The records are kept against your order number, so a claim can be traced back to the checks that were made before the goods left the factory.

Incoming material

  • Aluminium profiles are checked for surface condition and dimensional consistency against the confirmed specification before they enter production.
  • Glass, polycarbonate, fabric and hardware are inspected against the order and the approved sample.
  • Any deviation is raised with production before the material is cut, not after.

In process

  • Cutting, bending, welding and coating are checked against the drawing at each stage.
  • Motorised units are bench-tested for motor, remote control and louvre operation.
  • Frames are load-checked, and drainage and louvre travel are verified.

Before shipment

  • Finished goods are inspected against your order, and photographs are sent to you for reference before the container is sealed.
  • Third-party inspection by SGS, BV or TÜV is welcome at this stage or at any earlier one.

Packing and container loading

Aluminium outdoor structures are bulky, mostly void and vulnerable to movement, so how the goods sit inside the container matters as much as the price per unit. This is how we pack, and it is worth knowing before you compare quotations.

  • Frames are separated and stacked flat. Assembled and motorised parts are packed separately, so the frame components travel in an order that can be assembled on site without unpacking everything first.
  • No aluminium surface touches another. Face-to-face contact under shrink wrap is what leaves pressure marks and chafing on a powder-coated finish that will be on display in your showroom.
  • Corners are protected. The corners take the load when a unit is dragged across a warehouse floor, and they are also where a coating chips first.
  • Hardware is bagged and boxed. Motors, remote controls, fixings and louvre gear are the small parts that go missing, and a single missing motor can stop an installation that is otherwise complete.
  • Paperwork travels with the goods. A container that arrives with the documents still sealed inside clears faster than one whose papers were shipped separately.
  • Loading is planned. Heavy items go low and forward, because the front of a container carries the highest axle load and a back-heavy container is harder to secure and more likely to be refused on arrival.

The documents that travel with your order

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Certificate of origin and material test certificates, on request
  • CE documentation and RoHS declarations for European destinations
  • Installation drawings, section profiles and fixing details
  • Assembly instructions and installation videos, in English
  • Brand ownership: the LangTing trademark is registered for the relevant goods class, and copies can be provided on request

Customisation

We manufacture for distributors who sell under their own brand as well as for project buyers who need a specific system. Both routes start with the same engineering.

  • OEM. We work to your artwork, barcodes, packaging and manuals, and mark the goods accordingly so they drop straight into your range.
  • ODM. Send a drawing, a site photograph or a reference sample and our engineers turn it into a buildable design, with section profiles, louvre options, drainage and fixing details.
  • Three levels of customisation are available: standard specification, drawing-based, and full customisation from a sample.
  • Climate-based material selection. Profile thickness, coating and louvre options are matched to the destination, so a coastal or desert market does not receive a specification designed for somewhere else.

Installation and after-sales

  • English assembly instructions and installation videos are supplied for every product line.
  • Drawings, section profiles and fixing details can be reissued for any product we have supplied, which is useful when a project is installed in phases across two seasons.
  • Spare parts are kept for every product line, including motors, remote controls, louvre mechanisms, glazing and fixings. If you have taken over a project and need parts for an older model, send us the model and the year and we will check availability.
  • Warranty claims: send photographs of the affected area, the size and location of the fault and a short description, quoting your order number. Our technical team responds within three working days with a remedy, replacement parts or a request for further information.
  • Where a project justifies it, on-site attendance and installer training can be arranged.

What we need from you to quote accurately

  • Product type — pergola, gazebo, sunroom, awning, fence, car canopy or shutter, and whether it is manual or motorised.
  • Dimensions — width, depth and height, plus any drawing, site photograph or reference image you already hold.
  • Quantity and destination — how many sets, and the port or country for delivery.
  • Finish and options — powder-coated colour or wood-grain, glass or polycarbonate, louvre type, motor and control system.
  • Timeline — the date you need the goods on site, if you have one.

With that information the quotation can carry real numbers instead of ranges, and you will get a lead time and freight cost that can be planned around rather than discovered later.

Downloads and references

  • Product catalogue (PDF) — request it and we send the current price list with it.
  • Section drawings and specification sheets — per product, on request.
  • Packing data and gross weights — per product, so your freight can be booked before the goods are finished.
  • Assembly instructions and installation videos — on request.
  • Project references and installation records — we share photographs, installation records and specification drawings for comparable jobs, matched to your application, size and destination market.

Common procurement questions

Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are a manufacturer. Our own workshops cover profile preparation, CNC and laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating, assembly and final load testing. No structural step is subcontracted.

How long does a first order take?
Standard items run three to four weeks after drawing approval and deposit. Motorised and custom-engineered orders take longer. Samples are quoted separately and credited against a bulk order.

Can you work under our own brand?
Yes. We work to your artwork, barcodes, packaging and manuals, mark the goods accordingly, and can also develop a product from your drawings as an ODM partner.

Can an inspector attend before the container is loaded?
Yes. Third-party inspection by SGS, BV or TÜV is welcome at any stage. We send loading photographs before the container is sealed so you can check the goods against the packing list.

What happens if something arrives damaged?
Send photographs, the size and location of the fault and your order number. Our technical team responds within three working days with a remedy, replacement parts or a request for more information. Photographs taken at unpacking and installation are the fastest route to a fair assessment.

Do you ship to our market?
We ship regularly to distributors and project buyers worldwide. We confirm the best route, the estimated transit time and the shipping cost for your destination in the quotation.

Send us the product type, sizes, quantity and destination country, and our export team will come back with a detailed quotation within one working day.
